Volume 4

Fabio Mauri is the last great witness to the ideological dynamics of Western thought and in particular, European thought, the tragic theatre of the holocaust: signs of a destiny that questions the mandate of art and today’s culture.
Mauri follows a precise and at the same time poetic commentary, telling his own story alongside the many witnesses of his life (Pasolini, Eco, Porta, Sanguineti…), a life spent interpreting the great themes of existence.
He designates art as a high form of knowledge that guides us through the threats of consensus.
A full life, tormented by mystical crises, memorable collaborations and unique works: theatre, performance, installations are all aspects of an expression that is never bound to fixed formal solutions, but strongly characterised by a coherent aesthetic identity.
